An open jeep can accommodate 6 people over 5 years old, accompanied by a guide and a driver. Morning and evening safaris can be booked.
Jungle safari on a canter is a new concept for Central India National Parks. This is an open space for a 12-24 seater bus. Canter safari tickets can be booked through the reservation desk at the gates of Bandhavgarh National Park. Online bookings for canter safari are not available . Morning and evening safaris can be booked at the forest office at Tala subject to availability.
The safari runs from dawn to dusk, and entry and exit take 15 minutes longer than the regular permits. Tourists who want a full-day safari must leave a deposit of ten thousand rupees {subject to change as per forest guidelines} at the forestry department.
Elephant joy rides have gained popularity among wildlife enthusiasts; they mostly visit Bandhavgarh National Park to appreciate the unparalleled beauty of the forest and the mighty beast of Bandhavgarh. Elephant joy ride makes the tour additionally pleasant and complete. The possibilities of Tiger sightings are high throughout the elephant safari in the Bandhavgarh zones.
Night safari in Bandhavgarh National Park offers heart-pounding experiences where you can capture the bizarre aspects of wildlife. The night safaris can be experienced between 18:30 PM- 21:30 PM, which are held in buffer zones, and if you are lucky, you might even be able to come across the Royal Bengal Tiger.
One can get a safari experience like never before as Bandhavgarh National Park now offers a balloon safari with an aerial view of the restricted buffer zone and core zone, letting the tourists spot the Royal Bengal Tigers, Sloth Bears, and other animals along with the scenic view of Bandhavgarh. The safari operates for 45 minutes to an hour, twice a day i.e. early morning and evening (before sunset). The balloon safari has a capacity of a maximum of nine passengers per safari and is loaded with all the necessary safety equipment in case of an emergency.
